Delete your account

You can delete your Muslim Hearts account at any time, from inside the app or by emailing us. Deleting your account cannot be undone.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open Muslim Hearts and go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Under Account, tap Delete account.
4. Choose the reason that fits best, then tap Delete account.
5. Confirm by tapping Delete account again.

You are signed out straight away and your account can no longer be used.

Delete your account without the app

If you can no longer use the app, email info@muslimhearts.co.uk with the subject “Account deletion request”. Send it from the email address on your account, or include the phone number you signed up with. We will verify that the account is yours before deleting it, and may reply to ask for details to confirm this.

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in details
• Your profile
• Your photos and videos
• Your messages
• Your matches

Your account data is deleted promptly. Photos and videos are removed from our storage shortly afterwards, and in any case within 30 days.

What may be kept

Some limited records may be kept where the law requires it or where they are needed for safety. For example:

• Purchase and subscription records are held by Apple, Google and our payments provider RevenueCat under their own policies. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.
• Reports made about a member, and our decisions on them, may be kept to protect our community.
• Records we must keep to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations.
